How is it already a Full Moon?! Well, not just yet, it’s not full until 9:14pm PDT May 15th, 2022. If you know me, you know I think the moon is super special, but This moon is extra super special!! It is a Super Moon (the orbit is closer to Earth, so it looks bigger), It is know as the 'Flower Moon', AND it's going to be a "Blood moon", aptly named for the reddish color the moon turns during a lunar eclipse (when the Earth passes between the Moon and Sun).
This super charged Full Moon is happening in the sign of Scorpio, co-ruled by Mars(energized and passionate) and Pluto (planet of death + rebirth and transformation)!
As energetic as this time is with the extra light and pull from the moon, Full Moons are an opportunity to let go, to surrender, to release what you no longer want to carry. Gift yourself the space for something new, something you are ready to make space for.
Thanks to the energy of Pluto, The sign of Scorpio is about death, rebirth and transformation. How will you allow yourself to transform from who you are now and where you are going? again, extra super charged energy here, so if you're ready to make a conscious shift, you will be supported!

Full Moons are also about balance. A Full Moon happens when the moon is directly opposite the sun, meaning they are in opposite signs (in this case the Sun is in Taurus and the Moon in Scorpio). This often invites an inquiry into how we can find a balance between those two energies. Taurus is an Earth sign: reliable, dependable and strong. Scorpio is a Water sign: deep, emotional, and passionate. So this full moon may be asking how can you find a balance between being sturdy, plugging along and diving deep to check in with your emotions.
Full Moons can also indicate a culmination, either a project coming to fruition, or perhaps something that has run it's course, including a relationship (especially for those of us with . Because the Full Moon is happening in the sign of Scorpio, it might have to do with a passionate or even sexual relationship given the energy of the sign which also deals with the taboo and things people generally aren't openly talking about.
There are also a few other astrological aspects at play during this lunation that might have an affect on you. This Full Moon forms a sextile (60º) to one of its rulers, transformative Pluto which invites you to shine a light on something secretive. If this lunar event manages to illuminate power struggles, manipulative tactics, shadow sides, anything underlying, or passionate feelings that you haven't been fully acknowledging or dealing with, this may be a beneficial time to meet them head-on. And if you realize it's time to walk away from a relationship or behavioral pattern completely (hi, I'm raising my hand here), the combo of Pluto and this full moon in the water sign Scorpio could supply you with the power to burn it all to the ground and start anew.
Another planetary aspect of this eclipse is a trine to Mars... yes, the other co-ruler! the powerful, action-oriented planet. Mars is currently moving through Pisces, closely conjunct to the mystical Neptune, urging us to take bold steps in a more spiritual-minded, and imaginative way. This could mean you feel inspired to pour your most deeply felt emotions into a course of action that you're not only passionate about, but that feels right to you on an intuitive level.
This moon also forms a square to Saturn, the planet of boundaries, restrictions, limitations, and commitment, in Aquarius. This astrological combo could take a toll on your self-esteem or spur feelings of isolation and/or loneliness. That being said, squares also offer up activating energy that you can take advantage of by exploring the roots of any emotion that comes up and then doing your best to pivot yourself (90º=square).
With all of This super charged energy, and all this info, also remember to please Be gentle with yourself and others during this time. Emotions run high during this part of the lunar cycle, which is only natural considering the moons impact on the tides and the fact humans are roughly 70% water. Friendly reminder, none of the work you do with your Full Moon ceremony happens overnight, but small steps lead to big progress, so keep working and aiming in the direction you want to go.
