Full Moon in Aries - Balance between Me, Me, Me, vs. You, You, You

Happy almost Full Moon! To all you Westerner werewolves out there, you won’t have to worry because peak fullness occurs during daylight hours at 1:54pm PDT.

To be honest, I’m not sure that’s how werewolves work, but this post isn’t about that, it’s about the Full Moon in Aries, so let’s look at what that means, shall we?

As you may or may not know, Full Moons are about culminations, climaxes and finding a balance. It’s a time when you may well be reaping what you’ve sowed over the past two weeks, the past year or perhaps in this case of the Moon being full in the sign of Aries, it could signify a culmination of a project or something that was started at the tail-end of March or in April during the New Moon in Aries. It's also a great time to charge and/or cleanse your crystals, card decks or any other spiritual items. You can check out this blog post I wrote about cleansing crystals if you want more information.

Forgiveness and gratitude are key at this time as well. Obviously these two beautiful sentiments are key any time, but are especially powerful at the time of Full Moons. I like to do a Full Moon Forgiveness and Gratitude Ritual ahead of peak fullness, so I will be working with the lovely Luna and writing my forgiveness and gratitude lists on Saturday night. This one of, or perhaps the most important step in manifesting. The idea behind this release work is that we are still in the waxing cycle of the lunar phase. It’s still in the energetic and fertile phase of planting new ideas and opportunities. Once the moon hits peak fullness and then starts to wane is when we can really surrender to the divine and go with the energetic flow.

Something to note is that Full Moons are often a time when emotions are running higher. Think of how the Full Moon effects the tides, peak high tide for the month occurs at the Full Moon, so if we take into account that our bodies are made up of a majority of water, it makes sense that we are feeling more pull, right?

That being said, the sign of Aries is ruled by the planet Mars, which can add extra fiery energy to the mix as well. Mars is about courage, fury, the warrior, and blazing a trail, among other things.

Several of my favorite people are Aries rising, in fact, many of them have Aries as their Sun Sign AND their Rising Sign, and with the double Aries they will be feeling this Full Moon even more, as will anyone with a potent Aries point (or points) in their chart. If you aren’t sure of your rising sign, reach out so we can cast your natal chart!

As mentioned earlier, the Full Moon is also about finding a balance. The Sun is very much about ego whereas the Moon is about emotions. The moon is opposite the sun when its full, so there’s a bit of a tug-of-war between the sign the Sun is in (currently in Libra) and the sign the Moon is in (Aries). You might notice some opportunities coming up that challenge whether you are thinking about yourself (Aries) vs thinking about others; or whether you’re thinking only about yourself vs your relationship with another person (Libra). This is an ideal time to think about what you are giving vs what you are getting.

Again, this Full Moon could also be bringing up themes dictated by your natal chart if your rising sign is different than the natural chart with Aries Rising. For example, because I’m Virgo Rising, Libra rules my second house (money, value and worth) and the opposite sign ruling my 8th house is Aries (where my money meets others). So financial opportunities and deciding if I want to take out a loan are coming up for me currently, which is very on point with my natal chart positioning, telling me my manifesting work is fruitful!

The Full Moon in the 8th house (opposite the 2nd house) can often symbolize a turning point financially, which means gratitude, counting your blessings, and high vibration thoughts are important, as they are for really any house!

In case you are recovering from a wild last few weeks, it might have been because six planets (Mercury, Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus, Neptune and Pluto) were in retrograde simultaneously from September 10th to October 2nd, 2022. Mercury has stationed direct (as of Oct. 2nd) and Pluto will wrap up retrograde on October 8th, ahead of the Full Moon.

Jupiter is the "lots of" planet, often associated with good luck, good fortune, abundance and expansion. When this planet is retrograde, it can prompt self-reflection and philosophizing, as it nudges you to see the bigger picture. Jupiter is retrograde once a year with a slow retrograde period lasting for about 120 days.

Saturn, often considered A slightly difficult planet, governs all things related to structure and discipline (no wonder it's the ruling planet of Capricorn). Therefore, when this planet is retrograde, it offers up reality checks that help promote personal growth. Saturn retrograde also occurs yearly, for a slightly longer period of time than Jupiter (a little over four months). Saturn retrograde offers an opportunity to restructure your life, so take advantage while it lasts (until October 23rd).

Uranus, the wildcard in astrology, is known for ushering in rebellious, free-spirited energy and unexpected shakeups. Technically a "new" retrograde period occurs annually, but it can occur twice in one year due to the five month long retrograde (ending on January 23, 2023 this session).

Last but not least of the planets still in retrograde is the Whimsical Neptune which rules our dreams and ideals. Meaning When Neptune is retrograde it offers a time to reflect and revise your dreams and creativity. This retrograde period is also on the longer side at just over five months, which also happens once a year and this time ends on December 4th, 2022.

If this is all overwhelming, or whenever you're in doubt, list things/places/people you’re grateful for, either out loud or write it down. Another great option is to say, “Om Namo Narayani”, Sanskrit for, “I surrender to the Divine”. I was taught this phrase by Yasmin Boland, my mentor in Moonology, and have spoken the phrase serval times a month since becoming aware of the meaning. It really does help put me at ease. Try it for yourself and let me know how you feel.

Remember, the universe matches your energy, so it’s important to be mindful of your thoughts and your actions. If you catch yourself in a negative mindset, write down a list of your blessings, your positive traits, or what it feels like when your dreams and goals have come to fruition (no matter what the lunar phase is). This will help set you on a higher vibrational path, a much quicker route to manifesting what you want.

If you’re not quite clear on what you want (we’ve all been there!), or you are looking for a more detailed path, I offer clarity sessions which work wonders. I use them myself and have worked with clients, and it’s such a magical experience and a truly optimal way to set a blazing trail for manifesting what you want.

Love and Light, Moon and Magic,

Mysha
